Bronco 18H Parking & Utility Solution

Beautiful Bronco 18H Parking & Utility Solution

When 30-year-old timber walls at a business plaza in Prior Lake, Minn., needed to be replaced, access to the essential businesses there, including a branch of the department of motor vehicles, was an issue. Haugh Hardscape, whose tagline is “We specialize in the impossible,” was up to the challenge.

“VERSA-LOK’s Bronco 18H retaining wall system allowed us to keep the wall proportions to scale and work within excavation restraints due to keeping the businesses accessible,” said Jake Haugh, owner of Haugh Hardscape of Prior Lake.

The crew had to be methodical with installation by avoiding road closures happening at the bottom level and keeping the DMV and other customers safe at the top during construction. The wall is from 3 to 14 feet tall and was soil-reinforced with geogrid to support parking. A utility area near the building also needed to be moved and be fully enclosed to comply with city requirements.
